When I was growing up in a low-income family, outsourcing wasn't a word I heard a single time in my childhood.
After all, why pay someone else to do what you could do for yourself, and cheaper? Every dollar counted. For some families, outsourcing is not an option, and I honor them. But for me, my journey continued on and I became an RN and was able to join the middle class. Now I had a reliable car, was getting ready to buy my first house, and had enough money to provide my children with the life I never had... except there was one problem. I had run out of time. And time, it turns out, is an even more precious commodity than money
Over the years, I ran into many successful people that championed me and helped make me into the person I am today. Time and again I saw the same theme in their lives- they outsourced everything they could. In today's busy world, we will always be fighting for time. This is where outsourcing comes in. By paying someone else to do tasks like cleaning, oil changes, painting, gutters, and other chores, you can free up your time and improve your quality of life.
Some of us (myself included) still cling to the mentality of "do it yourself" in order to make ends meet. And there are stages in our lives where we need to utilize this mentality. However, there comes a time when we must ask ourselves, "What is the value of my time?"
Your time is valuable! By freeing up your time and energy, you can focus on the things that matter most, like spending time with your family and pursuing your passions. So why not give outsourcing a try? Your sanity (and your family) will thank you!
